Got a Question About Car Seats for Children?.
For information about infant or children’s car seats, call the Texas
Department of Transportation at their toll free number: 1-800-252-8255.
Accordingly, Texas law says children under age two must ride in a safety
seat. Between ages two and four; children may ride either in a safety
seat or buckled-up with a safety belt. Safety seats provide greater
protection in the event of a collision.
“Child safety seats reduce the risk of death and serious injury by
70%” according to a recent web site article by Texas
Department of Transportation.”
