Personal Reflections
Frank Caramanica
Past President
NWSCA
“We are a part of a very unique organization.  How many other metropolitan areas have an organization of 30 plus subdivisions that can speak with an unified voice to the law enforcement agent?  How many other organizations composed of citizens can claim the credibility we have gained with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department?

We have earned it over ten years of consistency and cooperation.  In the next year, we can use the constructive force to announce a high level of security, not only in our contract security areas, but in other areas of Harris County.  We have perceived the cause of many of the problems related to insufficient levels of law enforcement in unincorporated areas of Harris County.

As a group, our goal is to increase the manpower levels of the countywide policing organizations, to levels comparable to other unincorporated metropolitan areas.  In doing so, we must address the main factor in changing this, the Commissioners’ Court.  We must present our organization in such a manner that will show patience, persistence, and the  need for improvement, and that we will not accept less.”

Now, once again our group must tackle the issue of dispatching.  Please call or write your County Commissioner asking for more funding to help alleviate the shortage of Call Takers and  Dispatchers for the Sheriff’s Department.

Do it now! ! ! !  Call the County Operator
at  713 - 755-5000 to get
the number of your Commissioner.
